Why Roleplay?

This is a question that I've been asked lately by friends that do not know what Role play is. The reasons I'm even attempting to make this page, is because well in reality. Role play can be fun, it can be serious, and it can be downright fun still. There are a lot of places inside second life that just beg for role players to come and use their SIMs, from just about anything you can think of. It's out there and it's been done. But what a lot fail to realize is that some people create HUDs short for Heads Up Display. For us to use. They don't have rules to use their HUDs, and so forth. Nor do they tell you what you can and can not do. What are they for then? Easy enough. They are mere tools for us to use to enhance our experience as a role player. Whether it be Combat HUDs, Magick HUDs, Vampire HUDs, Lycan HUDs,Human HUDs, it doesn't matter these are ALL TOOLS for us to use but yet so many have tried to say they aren't tools. Well on that note, yes they are nothing more then mere tools. There is absolutely nothing that will ever change that. But now you can role play anything inside second life. From Masters/slaves, Demons, Angels,Lycans,Vampires, etc. It doesn't matter, just always remember this, You don't have to roleplay at all. You don't have to do anything in second life that you don't want too. But if you're looking for a way to kill time, learn something new, and have fun doing so. Then you can roleplay, and pick one that fits you. Not what everyone else is doing. Hunt around the various SIMs and etc. and watch and learn, a lot of these SIMs have observer tags for you to wear so you can learn and adapt and create a character. Other's do not, but they ask that you do not interfere with those there that are roleplaying on the SIM.
